Draw upon their past, things that the liked to do. As long is it is not harmful or physically taxing then do it. If the like to bowl, find a bowling alley that has padded gutters. If the like to golf, driving range or putting green. If the like to paint, large canvas, big paint brushes, old clothes, and lots of drop clothes. Outside if you can, I think you get my point of view. Be open mined and creative!

Oh, so many activities to mention here. Passing a beach ball, reading the newspaper together, baking, music, music and music!! Talk about their parents, their siblings. There are so many activities to do. Fold laundry, paint, word in a word, finish the phrase. I could go on and on!!!mlasorsa

Interactive with different generation and animals is beificial.
Getting residents in Assisted Living that love an audiance and are involved with painting or music/singing, invite them to come and teach or Memory Care residents by teaching or showing them how to relax and enjoy this beautiful gift of joy. If they can not participate due to their stage id dementia, they can still be involved by staying in the room with others and watching, listening or just feeling our energy.
Stand back and watch what happens, it is wonderful!
